2018 Key West Marlin Tournament – Day 1 Results

Angler Chris Castro aboard the Mary Jo caught and released the first blue marlin of the 2018 Key West Marlin Tournament earning them 400 points and putting them in first place after the first day of fishing.  There were other billfish sightings and hookups including last year’s winning team, On Course, who lost a marlin when the hook bent.  In addition, four other marlin were reportedly caught by boats not entered in the tournament.  Josh Helm aboard The Helm, released a sailfish to score 50 points and put them in second place.  There were several Fun Fish weighed-in including a 36.8 lb wahoo caught by Jared Montgomery aboard the Limit Out which currently puts them in 3rd place.  Jacqui Rachel aboard Stresproof caught an 18.6 lb. tuna to put her in the lead in the Women’s Division.

The Helm – 50 points
Limit Out – 36.8 points

Paved For – 17.6 lbs

Tuna –

Stresproof – 18.6 lbs

Wahoo –
